Wedding invitation & stationery set
These illustrations of native Australian birds first appeared in the stunning book: The Birds of Australia: in seven volumes by John Gould (1840-1848). John Gould is considered by many as the father of ornithology in Australia and his book has become an iconic publication. His artwork of a Major Mitchell cockatoo, rainbow lorikeet, princess parrot and barabant have been repurposed as wedding invitations which celebrant these beautiful parrots and Aussie pride.
The images in our gallery show an envelope in the white woodgrain “Lima” stock and the recycled “straw kraft” stock.
